If you saw on my Facebook Page I went to Belfast for one day just to sort some things for my VISA . In case you don’t know I have been accepted to participate in a summer school in USA and because I am Romanian I need to get a VISA. So, I had to go to Belfast for my VISA interview. I felt like a child in a school trip and it was great. I will post some of the photos I took there and tell you some things I saw that I liked a lot.
I did a great thing to look for the information center at the airport and ask for basic things. like bus map, tickets and things that need to be visited. The nice lady there advised me to go and see Titanic Museum because they were commemorating 103 years since the tragic event happened. The museum is great, even if I was allowed to take photos inside I was completely caught up by the things there that I didn’t take any. (So me… ^_^ )
The next thing I wanted to see is the Botanic Garden. For me it is extremely relaxing and I love how it looks in spring. The weather was beautiful, just a little bit of rain, but it is normal and wonderful.
And obviously, I walked around randomly on the streets. I always feel that if I am by myself in a city I’ve never seen before the best thing to do to reflect and plan things for the future is to walk around randomly. It gives me a lot of time to think and ideas pop up from strange and small things I see around me. If I have to write them somewhere I use my phone’s memo system if I don’t have internet or my tablet. And then everything goes on my notebook when I revise it once every 3-4 months. Also, this way I see things and people differently than if I go in an organized tour. And I take nice photos of random things:
Hope you liked my small review/summary of my trip to Belfast. I hope everything will be fine with my VISA. Let me know if you would like to see more posts like this in the future. You can find me on Facebook, Tumblr, Google+, Twitter and Instagram, I will try to post there as often as possible. Don’t forget that maths is everywhere! Enjoy!
